On October 8, students from Vytautas Magnus University (VDU, Faculty of Bioeconomy Development, Agricultural Academy), studying the Logistics and Trade program, visited the UAB Hegelmann Logistics logistics center.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to deepen their knowledge of logistics and warehousing processes and their practical application. This time, students not only saw how a modern logistics center operates but also had the chance to speak with UAB Hegelmann Logistics Director Andrius Šumskis and other experienced specialists, who shared their knowledge and invaluable experience.
During the visit, students learned about logistics operations such as goods reception, storage, packing, and transportation. VDU students were shown how processes are efficiently organized using the latest technologies, and the importance of ensuring smooth goods flow management was highlighted, aiming to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
This visit not only expanded students’ theoretical knowledge but also allowed them to see how theory is applied in the real world. Students gained valuable experience that will undoubtedly contribute to their professional development in the future.
